Daniel M. Surprenant, Esq.: Attorney with Surprenant, Beneski & Nunes, PC

Biography

Dan Surprenant isn’t just an attorney, he’s a nationally recognized professional who has earned the rare distinction of being a Certified Elder Law Attorney. Before he began helping families protect their legacies from long-term care costs and estate taxes, Dan saw the legal system from a very different perspective. He started his career as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting cases in the Sexual Assault and Homicide units, and later worked as a civil litigator. These high-stakes experiences gave him a sharp eye for detail and a deep commitment to advocacy. Since taking over the firm with his sister, Michelle, in 2010, Dan has focused on creating a culture of integrity and service. This drive to help others started early, rooted in his time volunteering at homeless shelters and treatment centers. Whether he’s serving as a past president of Mass NAELA or being named a “Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine, Dan’s goal is always to provide peace of mind to his clients. When he isn’t in the office, you’ll likely find him sailing around Buzzard’s Bay with his wife and three children, enjoying the community he works so hard to protect.
