Biography

Daniel Melo Jr. is an Associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale East office. Mr. Melo primarily focuses his practice in the area of general litigation, including first party property. His litigation experience includes handling first party property matters relating to hurricane damage and personal injury arising from premises liability, landlord-tenant litigation, tobacco liability, medical malpractice, police brutality, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Melo received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University in 2018. In 2021, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, Mr. Melo made several appearances on the Dean’s List while also working as a Law Clerk throughout his law school career. Mr. Melo gained experience in criminal law while volunteering for a homicide unit at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Furthermore, Mr. Melo received experience in civil litigation such as first party property, personal injury & business litigation.
