Daniel Richard Knowlton: Attorney with Knowlton Family Law

Biography

Daniel R. Knowlton comes from a legacy of legal excellence, being the son of a 62-year-practicing attorney, with Dan's own son following in the family footsteps. He served honorably in the California Air Force and Army National Guards. Dan graduated cum laude with dual bachelor degrees in Economics and Philosophy, providing him with an innate ability for business, financial, and real estate analysis, and conceptual analysis for appeals. Active in the community, Dan held the presidency of a local Chamber of Commerce for two terms, was engaged with Kiwanis and Optimists International, and led a well-established San Diego charity.

For 48 years, Dan has practiced intensely before the San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles County family law courts, in myriad trials, motions and appeals (including writs) from other attorneys. Committed to staying current, he deeply studies family law and appellate developments. Dan’s conviction is that family and relationships are paramount, and his clients value his straightforward approach, friendly explanations, and unwavering legal effectiveness. On those few occasions when time permits, Dan enjoys writing, distance running, and swimming.
