Daniel T. Reimer

Dan, a North Hills of Pittsburgh native, graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 1993, where he served as a Research Editor for the Duquesne Law Review. He began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Warren County and Allegheny County District Attorney’s Offices, gaining invaluable experience in trial litigation and appellate advocacy before Pennsylvania’s Superior and Supreme Courts. Transitioning to private practice, Dan specialized in juvenile delinquency, dependency, and the representation of indigent parents in termination of parental rights cases. He coordinated conflict delinquency attorneys upon the request of the Allegheny County President Judge and played a key role in establishing the Office of Conflict Counsel. Dan was also a member of the Allegheny County Commission on Juvenile Justice, ensuring best practices following the "Kids-for-Cash" scandal review. In 2005, he became Assistant Counsel to the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board, handling high-profile judicial misconduct cases and serving as the Open Records officer. Returning to Pittsburgh in 2010, Dan redirected his focus to estate planning and elder law, conducting numerous public workshops and speaking engagements. Dan is thrilled to join Abernethy & Hagerman, offering trusted legal guidance in his hometown, where he resides with his wife Carol and daughter Hannah.
