Biography

David A. Holmes is President and Managing Director of the Farr Law Firm. David's practice focuses on asset protection, corporate and business law, civil litigation with an emphasis in contract, commercial and construction disputes, and real estate. He was born and raised in Charlotte County and has longstanding relationships with the area's legal professionals, business leaders and medical community.

David's substantial litigation experience includes commercial and residential construction disputes, enforcement and collection of commercial debt obligations and mortgage foreclosures. In the area of corporate and business law, David advises and assists clients in the formation, organization and management of business entities and in contractual disputes.

In the area of asset protection, David regularly assists clients in identifying assets that are exposed to the risks of litigation and implements strategies for their protection that are consistent with existing financial and estate plans, including family limited partnerships and asset protection trusts. He brings the unique perspective of a litigation attorney to the field of asset protection and has litigated a number of significant judgment enforcement, collection, and bankruptcy matters.

David's clients include medical professionals, business entities and business owners, property owners, builders and general contractors, and lenders and other creditors.
