Biography

David Ward was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1992. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and U.S. District Court, Southern, Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. Additionally, Mr. Ward has served as lead trial counsel in venues as diverse as Arizona, California, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma, Illinois and Florida. Mr. Ward attended Baylor University where he earned a B.B.A. in 1988 and his J.D. in 1992. He has actively practiced for the last 29 years and holds an AV peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell; signifying preeminent legal ability and the highest ethical standards. He is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation has been designated a Top Rated Lawyer in Texas by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Ward is a civil litigation attorney whose areas of practice include commercial and contract litigation, professional liability defense, employment practices and contracts - including non-disclosure and non-competition provisions, trade secret litigation, and construction disputes. Mr. Ward also provides legal counseling on matters such as contractual rights and obligations, indemnity, insurance policies, drafting and interpretation of employment contracts, implementation and review of corporate policies and procedures, and administrative licensing and compliance programs. With the significant growth of Montgomery County, Mr. Ward and Ward Law Firm welcome the opportunity to serve other attorneys as their local counsel.

While attending Baylor Law School, Mr. Ward was a member of the Order of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi. His Baylor National Mock Trial Team was Regional Champion and a National Quarterfinalist. Mr. Ward also received the Scott, Douglass & Luton Evidence Award and served as a member of the Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Society.

Mr. Ward is a member of the Houston, Montgomery County, and Woodlands Bar Associations as well as the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit and the State Bar of Texas (Construction and Litigation Sections). Additionally, he is a member of the South Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and attends The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Mr. Ward has lived in The Woodlands, Montgomery County, Texas since 1992.
