David Brock East

Brock East is a partner and original founder of McCarter | East PLLC.Brock began his practice of law in 2005 while practicing in Memphis with the law firm of Glassman, Edwards, Wade & Wyatt, P.C. In 2007, Brock relocated back to his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.Since his return to Murfreesboro, Brock has developed a general practice of law focusing on Middle Tennessee and its residents/businesses. He maintains an active practice in domestic relations and family law matters (divorce and child custody). Brock has extensive experience working with high net worth individuals and business owners in the Middle Tennessee area that are going through divorce or a separation. Brock’s clientele comes from referrals from past, satisfied clients and other local attorneys throughout Middle Tennessee.Further, Brock focuses a large portion of his work on construction law and construction defect cases. Through his work and expertise, Brock has successfully represented a large number of local homeowners, home builders and subcontractors in construction litigation and construction defect/negligence cases. He currently works with several insurance carriers that maintain coverage over Middle Tennessee area businesses, home/commercial builders and contractors.Brock also has extensive experience helping new/existing businesses with their organizational issues. He represents various business entities throughout the Middle Tennessee area with issues that include contract negotiation/preparation, risk management, collection as well as employment-related litigation.In addition, Brock has worked as a defense attorney on several high-profile criminal cases in Middle Tennessee. These criminal cases include high-level felonies and sexual related crimes. His unique approach to the practice of law has led to numerous dismissals and a satisfied client base.Brock also maintains an active practice in Personal Injury Litigation.Brock is a graduate of the University of Tennessee (2002 - University Honors) and the University of Memphis (2005, Juris Doctor - Litigation focus). He is an active member of the Tennessee and Rutherford/Cannon County Bar Associations. He is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford County. He is a member of First United Methodist Church and coaches youth soccer in Murfreesboro. He also volunteers his time with Murfreesboro Young Life and the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.Brock is married to Jenny Peterson East and they have three children.
