David Gray is the founder and principal attorney at Gray Law, bringing 36 years of experience in personal injury and medical malpractice law. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government and English from Centre College and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville School of Law. During his legal studies, David clerked for his uncle, Larry Franklin, contributing to numerous medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
Upon graduating from law school, David joined Franklin and Hance, where he practiced until 2000. He subsequently became a partner at Goldberg Simpson, serving until 2016 before establishing Gray Law.
Beyond his professional practice, David is committed to mentoring emerging attorneys and supporting lawyers facing alcohol or substance abuse challenges. He currently serves as vice chair of the board of Seven Counties Services and chairs the Kentucky Justice Association Wellness Committee. He regularly volunteers at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, providing lectures and guidance to future legal professionals.
Outside of his legal career, Mr. Gray enjoys thoroughbred racing at Churchill Downs, culinary pursuits, boating, and spending time with his wife, Tracie, his daughters, Harper and Peyton, and his grandson, Brooks.
