David C. Chavez is a nationally recognized personal injury attorney with over 40 years of experience representing injured individuals. He has received numerous honors, including being named a Top 10 Personal Injury Lawyer, earning the Top 100 Trial Lawyers Lifetime Achievement Award, and being selected as a Super Lawyer. Born and raised in Belen, New Mexico, David deeply understands New Mexico’s culture and has served on numerous boards, committees, and task forces across the state. David’s dedication is rooted in a proud family legacy of public service. His late father, Judge Tibo J. Chavez, served as a state senator, lieutenant governor, and district court judge, while his late mother, Betty Chavez, was a passionate historian and advocate for New Mexico’s heritage. David is a member of the New Mexico, Colorado, and American Bar Associations, as well as the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, continuing his family's tradition of service and leadership.
