David C. Lamon

Having been with the firm since 1977, David C. Lamon leads the estate planning practice group at Reagan Burrus. He is board certified in Estate Planning & Probate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has experience counseling a wide variety of clients. He plans estates ranging in size from modest estates to multimillion dollar estates. This includes preparing complex wills, containing provisions for testamentary trusts, marital deduction trusts, generation skipping trusts, life insurance, guardianship designations, and powers of appointment (both general and special). David also assists clients by executing durable general and medical powers of attorney, HIPPA authorizations, and directives to physicians. He also prepares estate and gift tax returns.

David has successfully counseled clients in transferring a family business from one generation to the next. He has helped clients establish family limited partnerships, corporations, private foundations, charitable trusts, limited liability companies, revocable and irrevocable trusts, pourover trusts, insurance trusts, Crummey trusts, and buy-sell agreements.
