David Frederick Ward

David Ward is originally from Champaign, Illinois, and began his academic journey at Illinois State University, where he graduated in 2015 after completing coursework that prepared him for law school. His interest in the legal system and public service led him to Memphis, Tennessee, where he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2019. During law school, David served as President of the Health Law Society and gained valuable insight into the judicial process by clerking for judges in the Criminal Divisions in Memphis.

After earning his law degree, David built a diverse legal background that strengthened his understanding of complex legal systems and client advocacy. In his prior role as managing attorney of a high-volume bankruptcy firm, he oversaw hundreds of active cases. His clients were very pleased with David’s strong organizational and communication skills. He later gained extensive experience in workers’ compensation defense, where he learned firsthand how insurance companies, carriers, and employers evaluate and manage claims. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the workers’ compensation system and ultimately shaped his desire to help injured employees navigate it more effectively.

David is now an attorney at Morgan and Morgan’s Nashville office, where he focuses on workers’ compensation cases and advocates for injured workers seeking fair and favorable outcomes. He brings a practical, informed, and client-focused approach to every case, using his background to anticipate challenges and guide clients through the process with clarity and confidence. Known for his dedication and advocacy, David is committed to standing up for workers and helping them secure the benefits they deserve.
