David G. Gorcyca

Mr. Gorcyca is Of Counsel to the firm and practices in the areas of criminal defense and civil litigation. Mr. Gorcyca was elected in 1996 as Oakland County Prosecutor and was re-elected to that position in 2000 and 2004 before retiring in 2008 to enter private practice. While Prosecutor, he led an office of more than 100 Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys and oversaw the prosecution of some of the most highly publicized criminal cases in the United States.

Mr. Gorcyca is a graduate of Michigan State University and Detroit College of Law. His professional affiliations include Michigan Bar Association, Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan - Past President, Oakland County Bar Association, Salute to Justice Committee, Oakland County Association of Chiefs of Police, National District Attorneys Association, Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, Michigan Sheriffs’ Association, National Criminal Justice Association, National Judicial College, and Fight Crime: Invest in Kids.

Mr. Gorcyca has an “AV” Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking by peers for general ethical standards and legal ability. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers in America and also as a “Top Lawyer” by dBusiness.
