About Attorney Awards

Biography

David Fein has spent over 30 years navigating the high-stakes world of energy law and policy. As both an attorney and an executive, he’s earned a reputation for understanding the complex regulatory issues that keep the industry moving. He isn’t just a behind-the-scenes expert, David has testified more than 50 times before legislative committees and shared his insights at over 100 industry events. His deep knowledge even led him to serve on Energy Policy Transition Teams for three Illinois Governors. Recently, David has taken that same steady, problem-solving mindset into the world of family mediation. Having gone through a divorce and shared parenting himself, he brings a rare level of empathy to the table. He knows how stressful these transitions can be, so he focuses on helping couples reach clear, workable agreements that save both money and emotional energy. Whether he’s tackling large-scale energy policy or helping a family find their way forward, David’s goal is to provide the clarity needed to make informed decisions for a better future.
