Biography

David 'Rooney' J. Gilmartin Jr. co-chair of the Long Island Land Use Practice, focuses his practice on land use, zoning, and real estate matters as well as related litigation. David previously served in a variety of government roles, including as Village Attorney for the Village of Sag Harbor and as Town Attorney for the town of Southampton. In his government roles, he regularly represented various municipal boards. David currently represents developers as well as individuals before all land use boards in Eastern Suffolk County.
