Work History: Sole remaining Shareholder, Cooke, Roberts & Reese, Ltd., 1969-present; Arbitrator and mediator, Self-employed, 1986-present; Former Outside Counsel, Nevada State Contractors Board, 1968-02; City Attorney, City of Lovelock, Nevada, 1989-95; Law Clerk, Second Judicial District Court, 1968-69.

Experience: Over 40 year’s of experience in the private practice of law. Litigation experience includes the representation of both plaintiff and defendant, individual, corporate, and institutional clients, including trial practice in state and federal courts. Handled many trials, primarily in the civil area including contracts, fraud, personal injury, rights, construction, malpractice, business torts, administrative law, and domestic relations. Areas of practice include administrative, business law, construction, corporate, estate (probates and trusts), general practice, insurance, negligence, real property, zoning and land use, and mining.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience: Extensive experience mediating settlements and arbitrating disputes. Frequent appointments as mediator or arbitrator though the American Arbitration Association. Successfully mediated or arbitrated numerous disputes in the areas of construction, engineering, contracting, negligence, real property, medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance, administrative, and regulatory matters. Served on several multi-arbitrator panels and as sole arbitrator on numerous construction and commercial cases. Prudential claim appeal reviewer.
