David J. Stein

David J. Stein: Attorney with Greenberg Traurig, LLP

Biography

David Stein is an experienced trial lawyer who represents clients across a wide range of industries in both employment and complex business litigation. He guides clients through the dispute resolution process, from pre-litigation counseling through federal or state court trial, as well as in arbitration. His employment litigation practice regularly sees clients call upon him to protect valuable corporate assets through the enforcement of restrictive covenants and the protection of trade secrets under both the Defend Trade Secrets Act and complimentary state trade secrets statutes. David’s restrictive covenant practice also boasts significant experience both seeking and opposing emergency injunctive relief.

His employment litigation experience also includes significant experience defending class and collective actions filed under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. He also defends businesses in actions alleging discrimination and retaliation under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA and other federal and state statutes.

David’s business litigation practice centers on matters related to breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty (including director and officer liability, and partnership disputes), breach of warranty (including manufacturing and design defect product liability claims), defamation, common law and statutory fraud, tortious interference, and other business torts. He also litigates intellectual property matters related to trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks.
