Born and raised in Nebraska, David Cripe was born in Beatrice in 1970 and has built his career around serving people across the state. He graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in 1993, then earned his Juris Doctor from Creighton University in 1998. Once admitted to the Nebraska State Bar Association, David started practicing law as an Assistant Public Defender for Douglas County, where he spent two years gaining valuable courtroom and client-focused experience. He later moved into private practice at Sodoro, Daly & Sodoro, concentrating on insurance defense litigation and medical malpractice defense. During more than eight years in that environment, David represented insurance companies extensively and learned how large insurers approach personal injury cases, from early claim evaluation through negotiation and litigation. That experience gives him a unique advantage today as part of the Hauptman, O’Brien, Wolf & Lathrop team, where he uses his knowledge of defense tactics to help clients pursue strong, well-prepared injury claims.
