Biography

David L. Luck focuses on appellate litigation in federal court and Florida state court, including brief writing and oral argument. David has argued appeals in the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court, and Florida’s District Courts of Appeal. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United State District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and several United States Circuit Courts of Appeals across the country.

In addition to traditional appellate briefing and argument, David provides pretrial, trial, and post-trial civil litigation support in federal court and Florida state court, including drafting and arguing complex pre-trial motions, case-dispositive motions (motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment), jury instructions and verdict forms, and post-trial motions.

David's areas of concentration include products liability, wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury, general commercial litigation, and insurance coverage and alleged bad faith.

Before entering private practice, David clerked for Justice R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court. David has been a member of the Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules and Code and Rules of Evidence Committees, and, for the past 10 years, has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star or a Florida Super Lawyer.

Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, David was a defense appellate and trial-support partner at an AmLaw 100 defense firm and an AmLaw 200 defense firm. He now applies the skills that he learned representing large corporations to his practice for you, the people.
