Biography

Mr. Tatum has practiced in the area of commercial real estate for more than 30 years. He has been involved in transactions ranging from simple to the most complex, not only in the State of Texas, but also across the United States and in other countries.

He represents a number of national developers in the acquisition, construction, financing, management, leasing and sale of single and multi-family residential developments, as well as office, commercial and industrial properties.

He represents investors and entrepreneurs in the purchase and sale of improved and unimproved investment properties.

He also has extensive experience in the representation of landlords and tenants in lease transactions involving existing and to be constructed buildings, including office, retail, industrial and build-to-suit projects.

Mr. Tatum earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in 1980 and his law degree, with honors, from the same university in 1984, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Order of the Coif and Texas Tech University Law Review. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984. Mr. Tatum was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1958.
