David Mace: Attorney with Truce Law, PLLC

Biography

Ask David Mace why he became a lawyer and he’ll give you a straightforward answer, he wanted to help people. For David, family law is a way to steady clients through some of life’s hardest transitions and help them move toward something better. His work starts with listening, taking the time to understand a client’s story, priorities, and concerns before mapping out a path forward. Whether he’s addressing a complicated custody dispute or guiding someone through divorce, David focuses on practical solutions and outcomes that protect children and support long-term stability. His personal touch is grounded in a simple principle, “Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” A Clearview, Washington native, David grew up on a small farm and learned the value of persistence early, from landscaping at twelve to his first job mixing paint at a local store. He earned an AA from Everett Community College, a BA from the University of Washington, and a JD from Georgetown University. For 18 years, he devoted his career to a nonprofit legal aid clinic, serving people who needed help the most. He’s also a proud father of two and a committed advocate for children with disabilities.
