Biography

David provides advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of employment and labor law issues including Title VII, Title IX, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA. He has also defended employers in litigation in state and federal court against suits alleging discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, Constitutional violations, contract and pay disputes, and various employment torts.

Prior to joining the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office, David was a partner in a boutique law firm in South Carolina where he served as outside general counsel and litigation defense counsel to educational institutions, governmental entities, and other public and private entities around the state on matters related to employment, contracts, compliance, investigations, policy development, and governance.

David began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Michelle Childs, United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and then served as a staff attorney with the South Carolina Court of Appeals.

David is admitted to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina.
