Biography

Dave defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment matters in state and federal court in both single-plaintiff and class-action lawsuits. As a labor relations attorney, Dave oversees union campaigns, drafts statements of position to the National Labor Relations Board, defends employers at unfair labor practice hearings, and assists in collective bargaining negotiations.

Prior to joining the firm, Dave gained substantial trial experience as a Deputy Alternate Public Defender at the Orange County Alternate Public Defender’s Office. Dave also spent several years in the Marine Corps. In 2013, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He continues to serve in the Marine Corps as the Reserve Deputy Staff Judge Advocate to the Third Marine Air Wing Commanding General out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Published Decisions: Starbucks Corporation (21-CA-296716; 372 NLRB No. 159): Served on the trial team where the Board upheld the Administrative Law Judge's recommended dismissal of allegations that Respondent violated Section 8(a)(1) of the National Labor Relations Act by holding unlawful 'captive audience' meetings and told employees they were not allowed to discuss the Union while working.
