As fate would have it, on the day I flew to Oakland to take the California bar exam, I found myself breaking ice dams on my roof with a sledgehammer amidst a snow-covered front yard. That unforgettable experience served as the ultimate motivation for me to conquer the bar exam and pursue a legal career in the Golden State.

While my wife pursued her master's degree at SDSU, I joined a small personal injury firm in downtown San Diego.
