Biography

David Rubin - Dedicated Attorney Committed to Your Legal Needs

After enduring countless winters in Massachusetts working for various prosecutor's offices, my wife and I made the bold decision to embark on a new chapter in sunny southern California. As fate would have it, on the day I flew to Oakland to take the California bar exam, I found myself breaking ice dams on my roof with a sledgehammer amidst a snow-covered front yard. That unforgettable experience served as the ultimate motivation for me to conquer the bar exam and pursue a legal career in the Golden State.

While my wife pursued her master's degree at SDSU, I joined a small personal injury firm in downtown San Diego. Building upon the courtroom expertise I had honed through numerous cases and trials as a prosecutor, I dedicated myself to assisting real people who had suffered injuries in their daily lives. After gaining valuable experience negotiating with insurance companies and successfully litigating personal injury cases, I took the leap to establish my own practice, Rubin Law Office, P.C.

What to Expect at Your Free Consultation:

When you arrive for your free consultation, bring any relevant paperwork pertaining to your case and come prepared with a list of questions. In the initial phase of our meeting, I will prioritize active listening and may have additional inquiries to better understand your circumstances. We will take as much time as necessary, and rest assured, you will never be charged for the duration of this critical initial discussion.

The consultation serves as an opportunity for both of us to familiarize ourselves with one another. It is crucial for you to feel comfortable with me as your attorney since we will be discussing personal aspects of your life. Building a strong rapport takes time, and I will never pressure you into signing a contract. You deserve the necessary time to make this important decision.

By the conclusion of our consultation, you will possess a deeper understanding of the legal issues surrounding your case. Moreover, I will provide you with a comprehensive outline of the next steps to take and a strategic plan to achieve the best possible outcome for your situation.

My Approach to Fees and Communication:

All personal injury cases I handle are based on a contingency fee structure, which means you only pay if I successfully recover compensation on your behalf. For criminal cases, I operate on a flat fee basis, ensuring transparency before you commit.

As a sole practitioner and small business owner, I am committed to being accessible to my clients whenever they require my assistance. When you choose me as your attorney, you will have the ability to reach out to me via phone, email, or text, guaranteeing that you are never left in the dark regarding the progress of your case.

Emphasizing Respect and Effective Advocacy:

"Be nice. Until it's time to not be nice." While some may believe that chest-pounding and bluster enhance a case, I have yet to witness such an approach yield superior results. The bravado of self-proclaimed "Pitbull" attorneys often fades when confronted with compelling legal arguments. My philosophy is straightforward: at some point during every case, you will need to request something from the opposing side, whether it's financial compensation in a personal injury claim or a charge reduction for a defendant in a criminal matter. Establishing amicable relationships increases the likelihood of obtaining favorable outcomes. Rest assured, I will fiercely fight for your rights; however, I will strategically unveil winning arguments only when the opposition least expects it.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words:

If someone constantly boasts about their abilities, it is often an indication that their actual performance falls short. I believe in letting my actions speak for themselves. Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated my dedication to client advocacy and achieving positive results.

Life Outside the Law:

When I am not passionately advocating for your case, you can find me catching waves in the inviting waters of North County, savoring mouthwatering asado at Grand Ole BBQ, maintaining my fitness at CrossFit 2120, enjoying live concerts with my wife at the Center for the Arts in Escondido, or indulging my furry companion with coffee and dog biscuits at the Java Hut.
