Dean Etsios is a principal who focuses his practice on medical and pharmacy malpractice defense litigation, security cases, general liability and premises liability defense. Mr. Etsios is local counsel for a large multi-national pharmacy chain. He also represents physicians, multiple hospital systems and insurance companies in Michigan. He is a frequent presenter at state and local conferences. He joined the firm in 1990. Mr. Etsios is licensed to practice law in Michigan, and the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
Mr. Etsios has been an active member of the Michigan Society of Health Care Risk Management, having served as a board member, legal counsel, committee chairperson, and president. He is a frequent presenter at state and local conferences, including for the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, Michigan Society of Health Care Risk Management, and healthcare systems and corporations.
Mr. Etsios was named a Michigan Super Lawyer 2017-2019 in the practice areas of Medical Malpractice Defense and General Liability Defense. Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers and less than 1% are named in two practice areas. He was also recognized by the American Registry of Attorneys as one of the 2018-2019 Top Attorneys in Michigan. He was also named in 2016 as Most Outstanding for Pharmacy Litigation by the Business Corp America.
Mr. Etsios received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s List. While in law school he attended the University’s Summer Legal Program at the East China Institute of Politics and Law-Shanghai, P.R.C., and was a member of the International Legal Consortium at the University College in London, England. He also attended Colgate University and earned a B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan.
