Biography

Deborah Amponsah is an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, where she defends the Firm’s client doctors, hospitals, health care systems, and other medical professionals in a variety of medical malpractice matters.

Prior to joining MCB, Deborah held assistant corporation counsel and associ¬ate attorney positions at different firms in New York State. During this time, she performed legal research; drafted memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents; conducted depositions; and represented clients in court and other legal proceedings. Earlier in her career, she held legal internships and clerk¬ships at public service groups such as the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project and the Monroe Bar Association Diversity initiative. These multiple roles have provid¬ed invaluable experience into all aspects of complex litigation, including legal analysis, development of optimal defense strategies, preparation and manage¬mentof court exhibits, and working with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and court personnel.

Deborah received her B.A. from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York in 2019. She earned her J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2022, where she concentrated in Health Law and also served as Pres¬ident of the Black Law Student Association. Deborah is admitted to practice in New York.
