Debra Whitson

Throughout the initial phase of her career, Debra Whitson served as a prosecutor, dedicating the latter half to specializing in Matrimonial and Family Law. Boasting extensive experience as a mediator and collaborative divorce practitioner, she is widely recognized as an expert in assisting victims of domestic violence. Debra has been practicing Family Law for over 30 years, and is the owner of WhitsonLaw, PLLC. as well as Mediated Online Solutions, LLC.

Debra holds a steadfast belief that legal battles often inflict more harm than assistance to families. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to make decisions for their families, steering away from relinquishing outcomes to a stranger in a black robe. When the courtroom becomes inevitable, Debra endeavors to educate and support people, making the legal process less costly, intimidating, uncertain, and stressful.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Debra actively engages with Zonta International, contributing to the enhancement of the lives of women and girls both locally and globally. Outside of her professional commitments, she finds joy in travel, savoring good food and wine, playing tennis, and relishing outdoor activities in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State alongside her husband and children.
