Devon Rood Slovensky

Life doesn’t always follow a plan, and family relationships can be especially unpredictable. Devon Slovensky grew up as the child of adopted parents, and that experience shaped her belief that family law is one of the most meaningful ways to help people when their lives are changing. Today, Devon is a Family Law Attorney and the only attorney in Southwest Virginia who is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®). She works closely with her clients throughout their cases, because the best outcomes come from staying informed, prepared, and supported. Devon graduated from the University of Virginia and earned her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. Her first job was as a staff attorney for legal aid, where she learned how confusing the legal system can be for families who are already under stress. She also learned the value of patience, communication, and going the extra mile. She eventually opened her own firm so she could devote her full attention to family law, her true passion. For many people, a family law attorney is the only steady guide when everything feels upside down. Devon founded her practice to cut through the technicalities, avoid hidden traps, and help clients rebuild with confidence.
