DeWayne K. Terry, Esq. – Florida Personal Injury Trial AttorneyBorn in Jacksonville, Florida, DeWayne K. Terry, Esq. has built a respected career as a trial lawyer dedicated to helping personal injury victims across South Florida. A graduate of The Bolles School, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University before pursuing his law degree at St. Thomas University School of Law.DeWayne began his legal career in Miami-Dade County as an Assistant State Attorney under the leadership of Honorable Katherine Fernandez Rundle. He later served as Assistant Staff Counsel for the Florida Bar’s Miami Office and worked across the civil, criminal, and family law divisions. Through these roles, he developed a reputation as a skilled and determined trial attorney within the South Florida legal community. In 2010, he joined Rubenstein Law, where he continues to focus on fighting for the rights of individuals and families who have suffered injuries due to negligence.In addition to his legal career, DeWayne has a strong background in athletics. At Duke University, he lettered in both football and track and was Co-Captain of the football team under Head Coach Steve Spurrier. He went on to enjoy a short professional football career as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Indianapolis Colts. His athletic discipline and competitive spirit continue to influence his work as a trial lawyer.Deeply connected to his community, DeWayne is actively involved in outreach and mentoring. He coaches youth football through The Miramar Optimist Club, is a member of The Sigma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., and is affiliated with Offspring Masonic Lodge #252. He also attends Greater St. Paul AME Church in Coconut Grove and is a longtime supporter of the Miami/Bahamas Goombay Festival.When not advocating for clients or serving the community, DeWayne enjoys music, singing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
