Dharmi Cookie Mehta

Dharmi Cookie Mehta is a senior associate at Reif Law Group P.C., focusing on securities litigation and arbitration, complex business disputes, shareholder derivative lawsuits and real estate litigation.

Ms. Mehta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University and her MBA degree from the University of Southern California. She received her Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in Business, with honors, from California Western School of Law.

Prior to joining Reif Law Group P.C., Ms. Mehta served as Compliance Counsel for Seashine Financial, LLC and its related entities. Prior to this, Ms. Mehta was an attorney at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLC where she contributed to the successful litigation of complex shareholder derivative, securities fraud, consumer and antitrust class actions. Ms. Mehta joined Robbins Geller after working for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as a compliance examiner and serving as an Honors Legal Intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Trading and Markets. Prior to law school, Ms. Mehta worked exclusively in the financial services industry. In 2005, she obtained her series 7 and 66 licenses through FINRA, formerly known as the National Association of Securities Dealers, which she used to provide financial planning and investment advice to high net-worth clients.
