Biography

Dhillon Ramkhelawan is an attorney at McEwan, Martinez, Dukes, Hall & Vancol, PA. Mr. Ramkhelawan’s practice at the firm is focused on representing physicians, medical groups and hospitals across the state of Florida in the niche area of medical malpractice defense as well as prominent Florida School Boards and supermarkets in premises liability actions. Mr. Ramkhelawan also handles auto negligence cases where he represents some of Florida’s most well-known private transportation companies.

Prior to joining MMDHV, Mr. Ramkhelawan began his legal career as a criminal defense attorney and then as a civil litigation lawyer on the Plaintiff’s side, both in downtown Orlando. Before moving to Florida and venturing into a career in the law, Mr. Ramkhelawan served as an analyst and consultant in both the technology and financial sectors.

Mr. Ramkhelawan received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Barry University School of Law. He was the recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Full-Tuition Scholarship and graduated cum laude in the top 10% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Ramkhelawan honed his litigation skills as a member of the Trial Team and was a finalist in the annual 1L Moot Court competition. Additionally, Mr. Ramkhelawan served as Editor-in-Chief of the Child and Family Law Journal, where he was responsible for overseeing the publication of fourteen Law Review articles written by legal scholars and professionals on the topic of family law, and where he organized several pro bono events that helped give back to the Central Florida youth and elderly communities. As a law student, Mr. Ramkhelawan also authored two Law Review articles that were selected for publication and multiple blog posts, which led to him being inducted into the National Order of Scribes. Mr. Ramkhelawan remains an active member of the Barry University School of Law Alumni community.

Originally from Toronto, Mr. Ramkhelawan obtained his Master of Business Management Degree from the Schulich School of Business. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Sociology from York University, where he graduated as a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll and was inducted into the Golden Key International Scholarship Society. When he is not working, Mr. Ramkhelawan loves playing sports, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends.
