Biography

Diana A. Balluku is a member of the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office. Diana’s practice focuses on trade secret litigation and the protection of trade secrets in employment related disputes involving departing employees. Diana represents clients in various industries in high-stakes matters arising when key employees leave to join competitors or launch competing ventures, including cases involving trade secret misappropriation, breaches of restrictive covenants, violations of non-disclosure agreements, employee raiding, and fiduciary duty claims. Diana also advises clients on how to protect their most valuable information and immediate response strategies when confidential information is at risk, including litigation readiness, forensic preservation, and injunctive relief. Diana works proactively with clients to minimize the risk of exfiltration by strengthening confidentiality agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation provisions and implementing defensible onboarding and offboarding processes to reduce exposure.

In addition to her trade secret and employment-related practice, Diana represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, including contract and business disputes, partnership and shareholder conflicts, business torts, and high value commercial claims. Diana advises businesses and commercial clients at every stage of a dispute-from pre-suit risk assessment through trial-focusing on aligning legal strategy with a client’s business objectives.

Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Diana served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald L. Cabell in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Diana also worked as a litigation associate in the Boston office of a national firm where she represented clients on toxic tort, product liability and commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
