Diana Dawn
Maselli is a distinguished attorney with a solid educational foundation and a
wealth of experience in the legal field. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree
in Legal Studies Magna Cum Laude from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2009.
Throughout her four years at FGCU, Dawn consistently earned a place on the
Dean's and President's List for seven semesters, a testament to her unwavering
commitment to academic excellence.
During her
time at FGCU, Dawn was an active member of Phi Eta Sigma, a prestigious
organization that recognizes high scholastic achievement, from 2005 to 2009.
She also demonstrated her dedication to the legal profession as a member of Phi
Alpha Delta Law Fraternity from 2007 to 2009. Her impressive record extends to
her involvement in the Golden Key International Honor Society, where she was
acknowledged for her leadership, service, and outstanding academics.
Additionally, Dawn showcased her leadership skills as the president and captain
of the competitive and performing FGCU dance team.
In 2012,
Dawn earned her law degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. Her
commitment to legal excellence continued as she actively participated in the
Ave Maria Women's Law Association from 2009 to 2012, holding a respected
officer's position within the association from 2011 to 2012.
Dawn's legal
journey began early when she joined Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys
for the Injured, while attending FGCU in 2007. She maintained her dedication to
the firm throughout law school, gaining valuable experience in trial advocacy.
Dawn not only prepared for but also attended multiple trials under the guidance
of Bruce L. Scheiner and Preston Scheiner, further honing her legal skills.
Dawn was
born in Sarasota, Florida, and raised in Venice, Florida. She graduated from
Venice High School in 2005 and cherishes spending quality time with her family
and friends.
Dawn's
commitment to her community and the legal profession is evident through her
extensive club involvement, including serving as president of Lee County
Association of Women Lawyers (LCAWL) from 2017-2018, as well as Vice-Chair from
2016-2017, Treasurer from 2014-2016, and Judicial Reception Chair from
2015-2018. She also was Secretary of Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition
from 2015-2018 and Gala Planning Committee Member for FAWL in 2019.
She has
volunteered for various organizations, such as the Lee County Coalition for a
Drug-Free Southwest Florida and Mothers Against Drunk Driving Southwest
Florida.
Since being
admitted to practice in Florida in 2012 and the Middle District of Florida in
2016, Dawn's dedication to her profession has earned her numerous recognitions
and memberships, including a top 40 Under 40 recognition from The National
Trial Lawyers. She was Florida Bar Leadership Academy Fellow from 2019-2020, a
board member of the Southwest Florida Federal Court Bar Association, Southwest
Florida Trial Lawyers Association, the Lee County Bar Association: Young
Lawyers Division. She has served as a member of the #KindLee committee and the
American Association of Justice, the Florida Justice Association, the Lee
County Bar Association and the Calusa Inn of Court.
Additional
accolades include serving as co-chair of the Tort Litigation Section of the Lee
County Bar Association, and member of the Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee
and the Statewide Advertising and Solicitation Grievance Committee.
