For Attorney Diana Sladen, the most fundamental area of the law is the law that directly impacts the family. Practicing family law gives Attorney Sladen the chance to practice in an area that truly affects the everyday lives of her clients. She practices in all areas of family law including pre-nuptial matters, divorce, post-divorce actions, child custody, child support, enforcement actions, modification, adoption, paternity, LGBT families, military families and appeals. Attorney Sladen also handles guardianship matters in both probate and juvenile court. Attorney Sladen also handles most of the Department of Children and Family involvement in the office including: DCF representation during an investigation, DCF representation during an open case, DCF Fair Hearings, and Superior Court appeals for Fair Hearing decisions. Attorney Sladen has handled both interlocutory appeals and appeals in the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.

Attorney Sladen takes ownership of each case when a client retains her as their attorney. She strives to handle every case with great care, detail and responsibility. Attorney Sladen recognizes the importance of client care in her family law practice. She takes the time and pays close attention to develop specific and unique strategies to meet each client’s needs. She educates her clients on all available options so that her clients can make informed and cost-effective decisions.

Attorney Sladen has represented husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, grandparents, guardians and children. She has handled cases involving: mental health issues, substance abuse issues, domestic abuse and violence, interstate and international custody disputes, concurrent matters in family and juvenile court, parental alienation cases and actions involving military members.

Attorney Sladen is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association and Family Law Section. Attorney Sladen volunteers as a ARC Counsel for the Worcester County Probate and Family Court – representing and advocating on behalf of children in contested custody disputes. Attorney Sladen is also on the court approved list for Worcester County as a Category F Guardian ad Litem.

Attorney Sladen speaks Portuguese and Spanish. She is a graduate from Providence College with baccalaureate degrees in both Political Science and Philosophy. Attorney Sladen graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, Rhode Island Connecticut.
