Diane V. Barresi

She attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, in upstate New York, where she studied sciences and French language. In her junior year, she studied abroad in Paris for 6 months, while residing with a French citizen (Madame Poupon, descendant/heir of the legendary Poupon mustard). Consequently, Ms. Barresi became conversant in the French language and intimately knowledgeable in French culture and customs. Ms. Barresi graduated Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, after having completed a pre-med curriculum.
Upon graduation from college, Ms. Barresi switched gears and applied to law school, to pursue her growing interest in jurisprudence. The fall following graduation, Ms. Barresi began attendance at Touro Law School, on Long Island. While in law school, Ms. Barresi was a member of the Transnational Law Journal, for which she composed several research articles, published within its journal. Additionally, Ms. Barresi interned with Judge DiPaolo, Appellate Term, assisting him in drafting opinions regarding conservatorship applications. Ms. Barresi attained exemplary grades in law school, and became admitted to the New York State Bar after graduation. She then became employed with Cullen and Dykman, in Garden City, as an associate attorney, in the firm's foreclosure department. Thereafter, she accepted a position with Speno, Goldman, Steingart and Penn, in Mineola, as an associate attorney, concentrating in the area of civil litigation.
Ms. Barresi presently resides on Long Island, where she enjoys spending time with her 4 children.
