Dillon J. Carpenter

Dillon Carpenter brings a unique "insider" perspective to the team at Ball, Kirk, & Holm, P.C. A Mason City native and Iowa State grad, Dillon actually spent time working in the insurance industry before heading to law school at the University of Iowa. That experience, combined with an externship at the Federal Public Defender’s office, gave him a deep understanding of how to help people navigating high-stakes legal situations. For several years after law school, Dillon worked on the defense side of workers’ compensation cases. During that time, he saw exactly how insurance companies and employers try to short-change workers who don’t have someone looking out for them. Today, he’s flipped the script. Dillon uses everything he learned while working for the "other side" to advocate for injured workers. He knows their playbook inside and out, which makes him incredibly effective at ensuring his clients get the medical care and financial support they’ve earned. He’s passionate about leveling the playing field and making sure the system actually works for the people it’s supposed to protect.
