Biography

Dillon A. Thies is a lifelong South Carolinian who was born and raised in the Charleston area. He attended the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, receiving a B.A. in Advertising, with a minor in Political Science, in 2015. During his undergraduate studies, he was a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota academic honor society as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He was also able to visit Amsterdam for a study abroad session comparing the healthcare systems of the United States and The Netherlands. He was active in various intramural sports as well as many other aspects of campus life. As a part of the Honors College curriculum, Dillon successfully defended his senior thesis on the topic of Direct to Consumer Advertising of Prescription Drugs. Dillon remained at the University of South Carolina for law school, receiving his J.D. in 2018. He was honored to have been included on the Dean’s list while receiving both of these degrees.
