Biography

Dimitri Makridis is a Warren, Ohio native who graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 2003 before moving to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration in 2008 from OSU’s Fisher College of Business. During his time at Ohio State, Dimitri competed as a long snapper for the Buckeyes under Coach Jim Tressel, earning varsity letter recognition, Academic All Big-Ten honors, and celebrating multiple Big Ten Championships. He then pursued his legal education at Capital University Law School, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2012. While in law school, Dimitri strengthened his practical skills through work with the Columbus City Prosecutor’s Office and Capital University’s General Litigation Clinic. As an intake officer, he helped launch criminal cases by interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, issuing subpoenas, and preparing criminal complaints and charges. After law school, Dimitri worked as an associate at a private Columbus firm, where he built a strong foundation in civil litigation. He later joined Makridis Law Firm, where he represents clients in criminal defense, OVI/DUI and traffic matters, bankruptcy, workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, personal injury and auto accidents, and employment cases.
