Donald A. Nogowski is a seasoned attorney with broad-based legal and professional experience. Mr. Nogowski has developed a passion in several areas of law, based upon his unique professional background and life experiences. Mr. Nogowski provides strategic counsel and advice to a broad range of clients.Mr.

Nogowski has been successfully representing small and mid-market entrepreneurs in complex business, financial and real estate matters for many years. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Nogowski’s professional experience included more than ten years of service as CEO, COO and/or CFO of entrepreneurial companies in the real estate development, technology, manufacturing and food service sectors. Don understands your struggles – he has stood in your shoes growing a successful business. Don has also provided strategic counsel for many years to struggling businesses, where bankruptcy, strategic reorganization and/or work-out is the key to survival.

Mr. Nogowski has successfully represented families for many years struggling with the responsibility for planning and caring for an elderly or disabled loved one. Mr. Nogowski advocates “life care planning”, which means taking a holistic approach to long-term care planning, disability planning and Medicaid planning matters, with an emphasis on “aging in place” as long as possible. We can help your family utilize available home and community-based services, home adaptations and technology to defer or possibly even eliminate the need to enter a nursing home.

In his elder law practice, Mr. Nogowski has represented elderly and/or disabled clients and their families, in matters including Medicaid planning and applications, estate planning and document preparation, probate and estate administration, disability planning, guardianship and conservatorships, and special needs trusts. Mr. Nogowski has extensive experience in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, successfully assisting both private companies and municipalities in the process of remediating contaminated properties, and then redeveloping these “brownfield” sites.

Mr. Nogowski has successfully representing owners and operators of contaminated sites in matters such as site remediation requirements, maximizing available public resources in support of remediation, successfully addressing claims regarding “responsible party” liability, and associated litigation.

Mr. Nogowski also provides strategic counsel on post-remediation brownfield redevelopment – returning contaminated properties to successful use, and also returning these properties to a municipality’s tax rolls.

Mr. Nogowski’s Environmental Law practice also includes resolving complex disputes concerning Tidelands Claims, Green Acres restrictions, and related public project condemnation matters.
