Biography

Dori Foster-Morales has a diverse legal background. Prior to her current practice, Ms. Foster-Morales worked for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (in Washington, D.C. and New York City) and was an Assistant State Attorney in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she prosecuted career criminal felony offenders for the last three years of her tenure.

Ms. Foster-Morales has been extensively involved in bar leadership at all levels, locally and statewide, which culminated in her election to the Florida Bar's Board of Governors in 2008. As a Governor, Ms. Foster-Morales currently serves as Co-Chair of the Bar's Special Committee on Diversity & Inclusion, and is liaison to four sections and committees of the Bar, including the Family Law Section, the Annual Convention Committee, as well as the certification committees for Marital and Family Law and Adoption Law. She is an active member of the Florida Family Law Inns of Court, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the Cuban American Bar Association. Based on her experience in family law and her involvement in the legal community, Ms. Foster-Morales was selected to become a

of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also a Fellow of the Florida Bar Foundation and American Bar Foundation.

Ms. Foster-Morales actively speaks on diverse issues affecting family lawyers and has appeared as a commentator on the O'Reilly Factor and the TODAY Show. She has been designated as a Top Attorney by South Florida Business Leader in 2010, one of Florida's Super Lawyers since 2007, one of Florida Trend's "Florida Legal Elite" since 2006 and as a "Top Lawyer" in the South Florida Legal Guide since 2001.

Ms. Foster-Morales is also committed to a variety of causes. She is particularly committed to research for a cure to autism, which she became involved in after her oldest child, Nora, was diagnosed with autism. She has previously been on numerous boards, including the United Way Capital Campaign, Mother's Voices, Dade Cultural Alliance, the Angels of Mercy and LawyersAction, a Political Action Committee focused on maintaining a fair and independent judiciary.
