Biography

Doug is a former paratrooper with the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, and has served as well in the Mississippi Army National Guard as the Legal Assistant to the Staff Judge Advocate of Camp Shelby. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he majored in English Literature and minored in Political Science. Doug wanted a career in which he could help others, and thus graduated from Tulane Law School in New Orleans in 1992. He at first practiced criminal law in the state of Washington, and began trying cases to juries shortly after taking the bar examination there. He soon moved back to his home state of Mississippi, where he was admitted to practice in 1994.

For nearly three decades Doug’s focus has been on helping those who have been injured in some way, particularly in automobile collisions and unsafe premises. Doug is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and has four children.
