Douglas N. Ranney is the founder of Ranney Law, established after more than 13 years practicing alongside renowned Texas attorney Robert M. Phillips. Following Mr. Phillips’ unexpected passing in 2021, Mr. Ranney was driven to create a firm that reflects his unwavering commitment to delivering results. His philosophy centers on achieving success for every client and in every aspect of their case, with a results-oriented approach that has defined his career. Mr. Ranney is known for his tenacity, strategic thinking, and dedication to securing the best possible outcomes for his clients. He recognizes the critical role of aggressive criminal defense as a safeguard of constitutional rights and prioritizes personalized strategies tailored to each client’s unique situation. Mr. Ranney is an active member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Williamson County Bar Association, a founding member of the Williamson County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and a member of the Texas Bar College.
