Biography

Doug joined Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder in 2021 after an impressive 20-year tenure as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Known for his extensive trial experience, thoughtfulness, and client empathy, Doug has handled a breadth of civil and criminal cases. His caseload included financial fraud, public corruption, healthcare fraud, and constitutional issues. Doug has also argued numerous appeals before the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. In his governmental role, he coordinated the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council, dealing with national security cases, and in 2007, he worked in Iraq on Rule of Law issues within the Iraqi courts. Before his legal career, Doug managed mental health and HIV/AIDS programs in Fairfield County. Doug first gained legal experience clerking for U.S. District Judge Alan H. Nevas. He resides on the Connecticut Shoreline with his family.
