Douglas Brown is a distinguished attorney at Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, bringing over two decades of experience in complex civil litigation to the firm. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps (1989–1993), Doug applies a disciplined and strategic approach to every case he handles. His academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UNLV (1997) and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (2001). He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar that same year and built a strong judicial foundation early in his career by serving as an extern for the Honorable Howard D. McKibben and as a law clerk for the Honorable William A. Maddox of Nevada’s First Judicial District Court.Before joining Benson & Bingham, Doug established himself as a formidable litigator as a partner and shareholder at Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg. Over the course of his career, he has successfully managed more than 12 jury trials and navigated countless arbitrations and mediations. His professional excellence is reflected in his AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards. Doug remains deeply involved in the legal community through his memberships in the Washoe County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court.A native of Reno, Doug is also a committed advocate for local conservation and public land access. He serves as the founder and director of Truckee River Public Waters, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting Nevada's natural resources. Outside of his legal practice, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fly fishing and bird hunting with his dog, Rosebud, alongside his wife, Leslie.
