David Michael Treiman

I am both a legal scholar and a highly active practicing attorney.  The 80+ books I have written on landlord-tenant law are the standard research tools I use not only in my own practice, but I find used by all of the major landlord-tenant firms of the City of New York. The Court system itself has extensive libraries of these books for the judges to use in their research in deciding cases.  As a result, on numerous occasions, judges have cited to my writings in rendering their determinations, at times, even when I am present in the courtroom.   However, my passion as an attorney is to represent a client fully, to find his or her real needs and goals and use not only my scholarship and creativity to advance their cause before the courts or even in private negotiations, but my passion for justice as well.   In the end, I never lose sight of the fact that my clients, even my corporate clients, are made up of human beings who need to be communicated with as such.  If you watch the videos above, you will see that style of treating my clients attested to again and again.
