DRANNON
L. ADKINS
is a
member in the Charleston office of Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe,
PLLC. Mr. Adkins devotes his practice to
the defense of state, county, and municipal governmental entities and their
employees in tort and civil rights claims.
Mr. Adkins maintains an active litigation practice in state and federal courts
in West Virginia.
Mr. Adkins is
a West Virginia native. Raised in rural Monroe County, West Virginia, he
graduated from James Monroe High School in 2003 with highest honors. Upon
graduation, Mr. Adkins attended West Virginia University as both a Promise and
Mountaineer Scholar. Mr. Adkins graduated Magna Cum Laude from the WVU Eberly
College of Arts and Sciences in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in
Psychology, with minors in Communications Studies and Political Science, while
also working part-time for the University. Mr. Adkins was also honored with a
President’s Volunteer Service Award for his volunteer service during his final
year.
Following
graduation, Mr. Adkins attended West Virginia University College of Law, where
he received his Juris Doctorate in 2010. While a student at the College of Law,
Drannon served as a Student Attorney in the Civil Law Clinic, from which he
received another President’s Volunteer Service Award. He also was affiliated
with the Public Interest Advocates and the American Constitutional Society.
Mr. Adkins
was admitted to the West Virginia Bar in 2010. He also holds bar admission to
the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia,
the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia,
and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Mr. Adkins
joined Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC in June 2014 after
spending almost four years at a general practice firm, where he excelled in
courtroom advocacy and appellate practice.
Currently,
Mr. Adkins is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, and also
serves on the West Virginia State Bar’s District 8 Grievance Committee.
Mr. Adkins
lives in Poca, West Virginia, with his wife, Heather, and their children
Adyson, Haidyn, and Knox. In his free
time, Mr. Adkins enjoys spending time with his family and friends and cheering
on his Alma Mater.
