Biography

Duane Cooper is a Southwest Missouri native with a long track record of fighting for and protecting his clients.

Duane grew up in the Joplin area and graduated with a degree from Missouri Southern State University. After Duane received his law degree from Washington University School of Law, he returned home to Southwest Missouri to practice law and represent Missouri personal injury clients.

Duane’s experience is impressive. He has been City attorney for Pineville, Anderson and Goodman, Missouri. He was Prosecuting Attorney for McDonald County. He was also elected by fellow attorneys to be President of the Newton/McDonald County Bar Association.

Duane has served as a Municipal Judge for the City of Neosho as well as for the Cities of Diamond and Seligman. He served for many years as Defense Counsel for the Newton/McDonald County Bar Treatment Courts. He is a long-standing member of both the National and Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Duane lives in Neosho with his wife Kelly. His daughter, McKinzie, is a kindergarten teacher at George Washington Carver Elementary School in Neosho.
