Biography

E. Davis Coots was admitted to the bar in 1969. He is licensed to practice in the Indiana and U.S District Courts for the Southern District of Indiana, U.S Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, and U.S. Supreme Court. He received his undergraduate degree from Monmouth College and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University (cum laude).

Dave is a member of the Indianapolis, Hamilton County, Indiana State, and American Bar Associations. He is a member and past president of the Carmel City Council and past president of Carmel Plan Commission and Carmel Chamber of Commerce. Dave served as Carmel City attorney in 1982-1983.

Dave is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and the Board of Managers of the Indianapolis Bar Association. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of MetroBank and several closely held entities.
