Earlean A. Laster

Earlean Laster has been a fixture in the Milwaukee legal community for over 25 years. She started Laster & Associates back in 2000 because she saw a real need for aggressive, passionate representation in family and criminal courts. Earlean’s journey really took off during her time at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an internship with the City Attorney’s Office, where she got her first taste of high-stakes courtroom work. One of the most significant moments in her career was being the first African-American woman appointed as a City of Milwaukee Court Commissioner. In that role, she sat on the other side of the bench, presiding over everything from warrants to traffic violations. That experience gave her a unique perspective on how judges think, which she uses every day to help her clients. Whether she’s fighting for someone’s freedom or helping a family through a tough transition, Earlean brings a mix of professional skill and deep-rooted passion. She’s built a firm that’s all about getting justice for people when it matters most, and she’s just as committed to her clients today as she was on day one.
