Biography

Edmund T. Rakowski is an Associate at MCB, where he defends doctors, teaching hospitals, health care systems and other medical professionals in medical malpractice matters.

Edmund T. Rakowski began his legal career in college as an intern for the Lackawanna County District Attorney in Pennsylvania. Before graduating law school, Edmund amassed broad experience in the roles of law clerk and paralegal. Areas of focus included medical malpractice, personal injury, and mass torts.

Immediately prior to joining MCB, Edmund worked as an associate attorney at a Long Island insurance defense law firm where his areas of focus included personal injury, product liability, and employment law. Edmund joined the Firm with substantial experience in motion practice including drafting motions for summary judgment, discovery, legal research, and legal analysis. As an Associate Attorney, he defends the Firm’s client physicians, hospitals, and group practices in a variety of medical malpractice matters.

Edmund received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from University of Scranton in 2012; his Paralegal Certificate from Hofstra University in 2013; and his J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2020. He is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
