Edward F. Juliano, Jr.

Ed Juliano has over 30 years of experience in successfully representing global corporations before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Trade Representative, and other U.S. Government agencies involved in international trade matters. Ed has also assisted many companies in coordinating presentations to foreign customs authorities and the World Customs Organization on tariff classification and customs valuation issues.

Given the current economic climate, a major focus of Ed's practice is on cost reduction strategies involving tariff reclassification, expansion and enforcement of free trade agreements, and reduction of other costs and fees associated with the global movement of goods. His past experience as in-house counsel with a major corporation also gives him valuable insight into cost effective compliance strategies.

Ed's practice is exclusively in international trade and customs law. His clients include leading global companies in information technology, telecommunications, test and measurement, medical, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and biopharmaceuticals.

Prior to entering private practice in 1993, Ed was in-house customs and trade counsel with the former Digital Equipment Corporation. While at Digital, Ed also chaired the trade policy committee of the major information technology trade association in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining Digital, Ed was an attorney with the Office of the Chief Counsel, U.S. Customs Service, in Washington DC. Ed had also served as an Import Specialist Team Leader with U.S. Customs in Boston.
